Goldcorp’s Peñasquito Mine Sparks Controversy In Mazapil, Mexico

Another protest in 2010 by locals halted operations at the mine for about a week. Disgruntled workers employed by a subcontractor demanded high wages, arguing that the company’s profits should translate to high salaries.
