Cartagena, Beyond The UNESCO Heritage Walls

Girls walk casually in front of an open doorway. While the personality of the historical center has been altered irrevocably by its own popularity — its essence now determined as much by the iconic walls as by the tourists who visit them — the same, at least so far, has not been true for Getsemaní.

However, beyond the wall is a city very much in contrast to the colonial charm of the historical center. Colombia-based photographer Trevor Bach ventured into Cartagena to capture these images. […]
