Cartagena, Beyond The UNESCO Heritage Walls

The hordes of foreign tourists visiting the city represent a major boon for the local economy. The vast majority of them, however, concentrate their attention and cash on the more developed areas in and around the historical center.

However, beyond the wall is a city very much in contrast to the colonial charm of the historical center. Colombia-based photographer Trevor Bach ventured into Cartagena to capture these images. […]
