Cartagena, Beyond The UNESCO Heritage Walls

Although the neighborhood offers a stark contrast to the touristic zone rubbing against its shoulders, according to Beltrán its centrality also affords the neighborhood some economic benefit: bargain-hunting foreign shoppers stray into the crowded market and opportunistic cab drivers can charge heavily inflated fares.
